Visiting Artist Kelsey J. Bowen - Two Day Sculpture Workshop: Gesture and Pose June 12th and 13th (10am-4:30pm)
In this workshop, we'll be focusing on gesture in figurative sculpture and how to convey feeling, storytelling, and movement in clay. Gesture describes the pose and moment captured in time that can make a figure come to life.
Our hands-on dive will include learning about sculpting (very) basic anatomy, looking at our own bodies to study gesture, and delving into how a pose can activate a piece and bring your figure to life. This workshop is open to all levels, including beginners!
The Workshop will consist of demos and hands on work time split up by a lunch break from 12:30-1:15 each day.
All supplies and materials will be provided. Firing of your finished work included!
