Learn the foundations of hand built pottery and other ceramic objects, no clay experience necessary!

Welcome to The Infinite Kit: Introduction to Handbuilding! This course is designed to offer an ocean of exposure to the tools and techniques of handbuilding with clay! Whether you’re clay-curious or deep in the sickness, this class will be a gentle and joyful space to nurture your practice!

 Students can expect foundational demonstrations (i.e. pinching, coiling, slabs, carving, glazing, using and designing simple molds) to be supplemented with idea development and technical troubleshooting. Oh, and we’ll aim to cultivate a sense of wonder and play while we’re at it! We have the freedom to explore so many forms– cups, mugs, bowls, plates, trays, vases, pitchers, planters, boxes…– the list goes on!

Shelf space, Full Studio Access, and 25lbs of clay is provided to each student. Tools and other equipment are avaible at the studio for communal use.
